ORCHIDS galore
Checked out several local ORCHID sites today and was amazed at the number of individual spikes - well over 15,000 - incredible. The majority were COMMON SPOTTED...
With far fewer FRAGRANT
Just 9 FLY ORCHIDS....
Perhaps 175 GREATER BUTTERFLY...
And 27 WHITE HELLEBORINES
The odd butterfly - BRIMSTONE and COMMON BLUE
And the odd bird....
A Little Bit of Bread and No Cheeeeeze........YELLOWHAMMER
And SPOTTED FLYCATCHER surrounded by flies
SPOT FLIES in local churchyard
A pair of SPOTTED FLYCATCHERS feeding young in Weston Turville Churchyard today - just what is this affinity between this species and churchyards - weird !
