WAXWINGS At last I've got my waxwing sighting, not just in Tring but in my garden (Millview Road). Thank goodness I don't work on Fridays. Two perched at the top of a fir tree, fairly dull so either females or juveniles. They weren't enticed down by the apples or berries and had flown by the time I picked up my camera. Also in the tree was a Mistle Thrush, not a regular visitor, and a lone Redwing. Still waiting for a Brambling. (Sally Douglas)
