Interim Report

A big day locally with COLLEGE LAKE BBOWT scoring heavily. First off a flock of 10 COMMON SCOTER dropped in under the grey skies at 1123 hours, followed by an immature female MARSH HARRIER through to the east, then an OSPREY and a Eurasian Sparrowhawk. A pair of LITTLE RINGED PLOVERS displaying in front of the Octagon Hide, with 8 Common Redshank and the 2 Oystercatchers, 4 lingering Wigeon, 10 Shoveler and a pair of Teal

Not much throughout the day at TRING RESERVOIRS but this evening at STARTOP'S, a first-summer LITTLE GULL, 20 BARN SWALLOWS and 120 SAND MARTIN dropped down

On the IVINGHOE HILLS, a male RING OUZEL was on the north slope of Gallows Hill
