A flock of 5 PINTAIL were in front of the Drayton Hide yesterday morning (3 drakes) - my first of the year. This morning, Roy Hargreaves had 2 EGYPTIAN GEESE on Wilstone and a Barnacle Goose with the Canada Geese on Marworth...

There are 23 active SINENSIS CORMORANT nests on the Drayton Bank...

and 6 GREY HERON nests

A flock of 8 LONG-TAILED TITS was showing well in the North Hedgerow

The number of Aythya ducks around the reservoir have dropped dramatically

and at COLLEGE LAKE BBOWT, an astonishing 38 COMMON SNIPES!

Mike Campbell saw the Grey Partridges again but all I could find in the fields north of Startop's were 38 Redwings
