Big, big arrival..........

The best was left to last......a male PIED FLYCATCHER near Tring Station this evening in trees by the Grand Union Canal, 800 yards north along the towpath (Jim Middleton, CJ, DB, SR, MCa); also a male COMMON REDSTART in same area

Lots of movement on the Hills with 5 RING OUZELS at Ellesborough, 5 at Great Kimble and 4 at Ivinghoe Beacon (the 7 now gone from Bison Hill) - 2 COMMON REDSTARTS at the Beacon, plus SHORT-EARED OWL, MARSH HARRIER and 27 Northern Wheatears

Up to 3 Little Ringed Plovers around the reservoirs today, with 3+ WESTERN REED WARBLERS back on Marsworth......
