As I did a bat survey at 4am Saturday morning and was in the local area I decided to stop off at Steps Hill / Incombe Hole. The two juvenile COMMON REDSTARTS (06:10) were soon picked up around the bend in the hole about 2/3rds of the way around. Only other birds of note were singing Willow Warblers, Common Chiffchaffs and Great Tits (Paul Moon). Both birds were still present this afternoon, one of which was photographed (Dave Bilcock, see above)
