First local WHINCHAT of the spring

Joan Thompson and I had a nice female WHINCHAT at COLLEGE LAKE BBOWT this morning, associating with 3 GREENLAND WHEATEARS (male & 2 females) in the rough grazing field towards the NE corner of the reserve.

Also a COMMON SANDPIPER present, plus 4 LITTLE RINGED PLOVERS, 6 Common Redshank, 8 nesting pair of Lapwings, pair of OYSTERCATCHER, several COMMON SWIFTS, 25+ House Martin, Lesser Whitethroat, 4+ Willow Warblers, 6 Pochard and numerous family parties of geese
