Late Chat fest and gulls galore.....

Did my regular Vizmig watch this morning in light to moderate WSW winds and it was dire - virtually nothing on the move bar 4 Chaffinch.....

The farmers were ploughing the Beacon Fields resulting in a huge arrival of gulls, including 500+ Black-headed, 1 adult Common, 1 Argenteus Herring and 185+ Lesser Black-backed, while a full sweep of the eastern Recording Area added 5 NORTHERN WHEATEAR and 1 remaining WHINCHAT in the Sheep Field. Not a single hirundine encountered, nor warbler - just 10 Meadow Pipit, 65 Common Starling, Green Woodpecker, 2 Wren, 14 Skylark, Great Tit, numerous Corvids and a single Brown Hare.
