At work today in the garden at Aston Hill I had a total of 10 COMMON CROSSBILLS.
The first one flew over heading west, calling, at 9.40am. A group of 7 flew in at 10.50am, landed briefly in some conifers on the edge of the garden and then flew off south. Another 2 flew in at 12.15pm and then headed west.
We should be seeing some good flocks in the county over the next few weeks.
Little else of note around apart from a Tawny Owl calling and Red Kite (Rob Andrews)
