Passage WHEATEAR

Mike Nott obtained these evocative shots at Wilstone in recent days - Common Greenshanks, Little Ringed Plover, Little Egrets and a cheeky Fox

This morning one adult Icelandic Black-tailed Godwit remained – it appeared to be Sunday’s arrival. Also four Ringed Plover and two LRPs, 4 Green Sandpipers, 4 Common Sandpipers, juv Dunlin and Greenshank.

The fields by Rushy Meadow have been, or are being, cut and a fresh Northern Wheatear was out there as well as a Raven which flew over a couple of times.

Also another successful trip to see Edible Dormouse in Wendover Woods last night. My friend managed several excellent photos of one individual as it washed its face (Roy Hargreaves)
